Helen S. Harp, 94, of 99 Granite Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday April 11, 2010 at her home. She was born in Diman, Lebanon on August 2, 1915 the daughter of Richard A. and Jennie (Habib) Harp and lived most of her life in Berlin. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Brown Company for many years. She was a steadfast and enthusiastic volunteer, a member of the AVH Auxiliary, volunteered at AVH, worked on the bloodmobile and was a former member of the St. Kieran Altar Guild. Helen was an excellent Arabic cook who enjoyed preparing food for her family. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. Members of the family include her sister Elizabeth Moreau of Berlin, NH; her brother Anthony R. Harp of Berlin, NH; nieces Amy Harp and husband Thom of No. Salem, NY, Diane Rayfield and husband Ford of Riverside, IL, Susan Harp and husband Jim of Redmond, WA and Lisa Zinck and husband John of Barrington, IL; nephew Dr. Richard Harp and wife Terrie of Spartanburg, SC; 1 sister-in-law Nancy Harp of Danbury, CT; grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Emile Harp and a sister Julia Harp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at 11 AM at Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN, 38148-0142 or the Ecumenical Food Pantry, PO Box 570, Berlin, NH, 03570.
