Helen M. Lamontagne

Helen M. Lamontagne, 101, passed away Monday August 24, 2015 at the St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin. She was born in Gorham on August 15, 1914 the fourth child of Robert and Ada (Meagher) Eisnor and lived in Gorham most of her life. She attended Gorham public schools and worked at various housekeeping and restaurant jobs. She was a lifelong member of the Gorham Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, helped with dinner and rummage sales and spent many hours knitting and crocheting for church bazaars. Family includes her son John R. (Jack) Holmes of Gorham and Nokomis, FL; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands John A. Holmes and Roland J. Lamontagne, her son Carroll Holmes, three sisters and 2 brothers. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday September 3, 2015 at 1 PM in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made the Gorham Congregational Church, UCC, 143 Main St., Gorham, NH, 03581.
