Helen L Burns

Helen L. Burns, 80, of Gorham, NH passed away on Thursday June 20, 2013 at her home. She was born in Plymouth, NH on October 5, 1932 the daughter of Spurgeon and Lillian (Graham) Ames and moved to Gorham in 1948. She had been employed by Converse Rubber Company, Gorham Sand and Gravel and Currier Trucking and was a member of the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion Auxiliary. Members of the family include her sons Spurgeon Burns and companion Debbie of Gilminton, NH and Michael Burns and wife Kathy of Portsmouth, NH: grandchildren Stacy Burns, Ian Burns, Scott Burns, Shawn Burns and Steven Burns; great-grandchildren Sophia, Abigail and Katelynn; brother Gary Nickerson and wife Elizabeth of Rochester, NH and long-time companion Joyce M. Gillespie of Gorham. Graveside Services will be held at the Lary Cemetery in Gorham, NH on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at 1:30 PM. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, 278 Main St., Lancaster, NH, 03584 or to a charity of ones choice. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
