Heather Lee (Broome) Roy of Milan Hill Road passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Weeks Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, NH following an eight month battle with cancer.

Born on June 28, 1952 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of William and Gloria (Woodward) Broome.

Heather grew up in Santa Anna area of California and moved back to Berlin shortly after graduating from High School.

On January 31, 1973, she married Richard Edward Roy.

She was an accomplished chef/cook and was employed at Sinibaldi's Restaurant in Berlin. She and her husband owned and operated their own restaurant Pisani's for a couple of years. She was employed as a home health care aid with Androscoggin Valley Home Care for the past several years.

Her past times included gardening, crafts, woodworking, fishing and camping. She will be most remembered for her devotion to family, especially her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by a son Jeffrey Arnold Roy, a daughter Michelle Lee Hauger, and a brother Robert Broome.

She leaves her husband of 41 years Richard E. Roy of Milan, two daughters Jennifer Wentworth of Berlin and Jessica Remillard of Milan, grandchildren Samantha Roy, Shelly Hauger, Christopher Roy, Nicholas McMahon, Taylor Roy, Sam Roy, Dylan LaFlamme, and J-Lyn Roy and Anna Remillard, a great-grandson Bryke Gauthier, and Uncle Gordon Roy of Northumberland, NH.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Saturday, April 5 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. A Celebration of Life and burial at St. Kieran's Cemetery will be held later this spring
