Wilsons Mills, ME: Mama got her wish and died at home after a long battle with old age. Born on a summers day to loving parents, she was the eleventh child of fourteen Olson children. Seven boys and seven girls. She grew up on a family farm that was also the post office in Wilsons Mills, Maine. She attended the two room schoolhouse in town and later went to Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. She worked summers at Nasons sporting Camps on Aziscoos Lake, cooking and cleaning. Later years she worked in Indiana at an old ladies home taking care of the elderly. During the war she worked in a factory in Mass. making parts for airplanes. She also worked at a soda plant in Rumford that her brother Clifford owned. She married Robert Moody in Oct. of 1948 and together they built their home next door to the farm while living in a tent on the lawn. One infant daughter died, but three more daughters followed Louise, Elaine and Lorraine. Many family memories were made fishing and swimming on Aziscoos Lake. Hazel loved to feed the deer and birds.
