Harold A. Thomas, Sr.

Mr. Harold A. Thomas, Sr., 76, of 852 Western Ave., Berlin, NH passed away on Friday April 23, 2010 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in North Stratford, NH on September 8, 1933 the son of Edwin and Aldina (Heath) Thomas and lived most of his life in Berlin. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Pike Industries as a foreman and later by Persons Concrete as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post #2520 and was a wonderful grandfather. Members of the family include his wife Claire (Hood) Thomas of Berlin, NH; 1 son Dennis Thomas of Berlin, NH; 1 daughter Sherry Fontaine and husband Leo of Berlin, NH; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Earl Thomas of Berlin, NH and Robert Thomas of Berlin, NH; 2 sisters Mildred Tupick of Berlin, NH and Edna Stranger of Berlin, NH: many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a son Harold Bubsy Thomas, Jr. and several brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 to 11 AM, prior to the service.
