Guy J. Maure

Guy J. Maure, 72, of Gorham, NH passed away on Monday July 21, 2014 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin on September 19, 1941 the son of Arthur and Melida (Pomerleau) Maure and was a lifelong resident of the area. He had been employed as a security guard at the paper mill, starting with Brown Company, and retiring after 27 years of service from Pulp and Paper of America. After his retirement, he was employed by Shaws Super Market. Guy was a lifelong member of the Fur, Feather & Fin Club. He loved to hunt, fish, create wood crafts and enjoyed playing cribbage and BINGO. He will be truly missed by his best friend, Buster. Family members include his wife of 53 years, Aurore C. (Bourassa) Maure of Gorham; his daughter Diane Nadeau and husband Robert of Gorham; son Michael Maure of Gorham; grandchildren Michelle Nadeau of Berlin, Danielle Nadeau of Dover and Tristen Gaulin of Berlin; nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes, may make a donation to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105 in his memory.
