Germaine Girouard Cote

Germaine Girouard Cote, 99, of Davenport, FL., passed away on Monday, January 27th, 2014 at her residence. Germaine was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on September 15, 1914, to Evangeliste and Marie (Bergeron) Girouard. In the years growing up between the United States and Canada, Germaine was her mothers helper in raising her 11 siblings. For the last 24 years, she has lived in Davenport, Fl with her only daughter, Priscille Cote Nelson. Besides her daughter, she is survived by her grandchildren: Lori Nelson-Brooks & her fiance, Edward Wassung of Goffstown, N.H., Sherri Nelson of Northwood, N.H., Brett Nelson of New Market, N.H. & Vicki Nelson of Winter Garden, FL; her great-granchildren: Caitlin Brooks of San Diego, CA, Allison Brooks of Northwood, N.H., Eric Brooks of Goffstown, N.H. and Nicholas, Kyle & Timothy Nelson of Northwood, N.H.; and her siblings: Jeanne Hyde of Davenport, FL, Adrien Girouard of Topper Lake, N.Y. & Pauline Sylvia of Pawtucket, R.I. along with numerous nieces and nephews. We were all so blessed to have her with us for all this time. We will miss her greatly. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Bertrand E. Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH 03570 with the family receiving friends for a Memorial Visitation from 11:00am to 1:00pm prior to the service. The inurnment will take place at the Russian City Cemetery immediately after the Memorial Service.
