Georgette A (Croteau) Doucette

Georgette Amanda (Croteau) Doucette of Gorham passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 20, 2018. She was 86 years old.



Born in Berlin on February 22, 1932, she was the daughter of Adrian and Regina (Marcotte) Croteau. She attended School at St Pauls Convent in Norton VT/Stanhope Quebec Canada. After 41 years of working in the mill her husband Freddie retired and for the next 9 years they spent their winters either in Florida or Mississippi and enjoyed every minute. After Freddie passed away on January 20, 2000 she then traveled to France for a month with an aunt, while there she visited Our Lady of Fatima shrine and Omaha Beach and many other important sights with her sister in law. She cruised to Alaska, she and her companion went twice to Hawaii. With girlfriends she also took 3 or 4 cruises. She also loved to play cards and do ceramics.



Everybody who knew her knew that family was always number one with her. She loved to help plan reunions, birthdays, parties or any get together; she would always say "the more the merrier".



In 2017 the youngest of her 3 children who lived in Key West Florida for many years relocated to NH and picked Gorham to settle in, now her whole family is within 2 miles of each other and that filled her heart full of joy. She will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts.



Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Freddie Doucette and a brother Hubert (Joe) Croteau.



She is survived by her three children; Jeanne Doucette, Donald Doucette and his wife Priscilla and Paul Doucette; all of Gorham, NH; her sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Charland and husband Arthur of Manchester, NH; her brother Marcel Marc Croteau and wife Lucille of FL; a sister-in-law Rita Croteau of FL; and her longtime companion Robert "Bob" Rancourt of Gorham, NH; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.



Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm and again on Saturday, July 28th from 9:30am-10:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 11:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow at St. Kierans Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Good Shepherd Parish, 151 Emery Street, Berlin, NH 03570
