George Conner Zwicker

George Conner Zwicker, 69, of Berlin, NH passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 in Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH. George was born October 11, 1942 in Hahnemann Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. As a child he lived in Overbrook and Clifton Heights, PA before moving to Wyndmoor PA. in 1951. George attended the local schools in Springfield Township, PA, graduating from Springfield Township High School in 1960, after which he attended Temple University. George was a brave and proud volunteer fireman for Wyndmoor Hose Company No. 1 during the 1980's. He practiced his occupation as a Master Electrician in both Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. For a time he worked as a Disc Jockey for Station WMOU in Berlin, NH and as a security guard for New England Security Company in Berlin. He was passionate about his hobbies which included photography, reading and model-building. Also he loved anything and everything related to WWII, trains, planes, submarines, Star Trek and reading about history. Some of George's happiest years were spent at his family's vacation home on Lake Mokoma in Laporte, PA. He spent many summers there and made lifelong memories. George was a long time resident of Berlin, New Hampshire where he raised a family and for the past ten years was cared for by his beloved daughter Stefanie. George was predeceased by his parents, Edward C. Zwicker Jr. & Winifred Conner Zwicker and his first wife, Susan Marsh Zwicker. Surviving are his children; Stefanie Tardiff, Kimberley Turgeon, Lori Hunt and Troy Zwicker; and grandchildren Kane Hanson, Mechele Radford, Sagan Hawkins and Jordan Tardiff; and one great-grandson Tyler Hawkins to whom he passed on his love of trains! George is also survived by two brothers; Edward C. Zwicker III and Robert C. Zwicker and a sister Deborah C. Wilson along with nephews and nieces.
