Gedeon Jean Vallee

Gedeon Jean Vallee passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 99 years old.



Born in Berlin, on August 15, 1919 he was the son of Arthur and Lucilda (Lessard) Vallee. He was a lifelong resident of Berlin and served in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of WWII working as a supply clerk and then worked reconstructing roads and bridges as a Technician Fifth Grade in Company B 316th Engineers Battalion. He served in Rome, Arno, North Appennines and the Po Valley in Italy. He earned a Good Conduct Medal, a Victory Medal, a European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon, and an American Theater Campaign Ribbon. He was a communicant of St Kieran Church, now Good Shepherd Parish. He worked as a bus driver for Costello Bus Lines and as a Millwright at Brown Company from where he retired in 1981.



Besides his parents he is predeceased by his wife Doris (Baillargeon) Anctil, his brothers Lucien, Rosario, Gerard and Robert Vallee and his sister Gertrude Ouellette.



He leaves behind his sister Cecile Poirier and husband Jean-Paul (JP) of Berlin; step-children, Wallace Anctil and companion Jeannine Birch, and Judy (Anctil) Rheaume and husband Normand of Berlin; grandchildren D. Michael, A. Foris (Tree) and S. Christopher Anctil, and Debra (Rheaume) Therrien; great-grandchildren, Andrea (Voisine), Michael and Kyra Therrien, Lizzy Golden, Evan, Corinne, Reid, Jocelyn Anctil, Cody and Alexander DiBiaso-Anctil; great-great-grandson Everett Voisine; sister-in-law Pauline Vallee and several nieces and nephews.



Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and prior to the service on Tuesday, March 12th from 8:30am to 9:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12th at 10:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin. Interment will follow at St. Kieran Cemetery.
