Francis H. Dickinson

Francis H. Dickinson passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home in Berlin, NH He was born on January 14, 1934 to Fredrick and Dorina Dickinson. Francis was a lifelong resident of the Berlin/Gorham area.

He enjoyed life, his favorite pastime was gambling, thanks to his longtime friend Janet Clermont and her boyfriend Warren Ingraham, he was able to keep playing up to his final days. He served four years as a truck driver in the military.

He was a true entrepreneur, he started many businesses including Dicks Taxi, Dicks Painting and Dickinson and Sons Roofing, he also did trucking, demolition, snow pickup and selling Christmas Trees.

Francis was preceded in death by both of his parents and a brother Fredrick.

He is survived by his brothers; Ralph of Watertown, NY and Kenneth and his wife Joyce of Berlin, NH, three children from his marriage to Lorraine Dickinson; Vicky Turgeon and her husband Rich of Manchester, NH: Stephen Dickinson and his wife Christina of Berlin, NH and Donald Dickinson of Gorham, NH;

Seven grandchildren: Kendra and her husband Al, Cory, Jamie, Justin, Ryleigh, Veronica, and Jeremiah; three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Sierra, and Madison.

A graveside service will be held in May. There are no calling hours.
