Florian R Bourassa

Florian R. Bourassa formerly of Haven Avenue passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center. He was 84 years old.

He was born in St. Hermenegilde PQ, Canada on September 29, 1931, he was the son of Arthur Joseph and Marie Eva (Roy) Bourassa.

Florian was married to Lola (Godin), they were communicants of St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. They never missed a Mass.

In 1994 he retired from James River Corp where he was a first class mechanic in the Woods Department. He was a member of the Local 75 and the Golden Age Club. After retirement he worked for Kelly Sawmill.

He enjoyed gardening and traveling. He spent many years working with horses.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Simonne Theberge.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57years Lola Godin; Sisters Yvonne Martineau of Berlin, NH, Yvette Ouimette of Manchester, NH; Annette Sage of Berlin, NH; Jeannette Vanasse of Berlin, NH, Lucienne Harrington of Gorham, NH and Fernande Dion of Berlin, NH.; Several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service from 11:30pm to 12:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin, NH. Rev. Fr. Richard H. Dion will serve as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Berlin, NH.

In his memory donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center, Activity Fund, 29 Providence Avenue, Berlin, NH.
