Florence (West) Balser

Florence E. (West) Balser, 80, formerly of Milan, NH passed away on Dec. 27, 2010 at the Coos County Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born in Bethel, ME on June 20, 1930 the daughter of Floyd and Cora (Barker) West and married Herbert Balser in 1948. She lived in Massachusetts for a time, before moving to Milan where she resided for many years, prior to entering the Coos County Nursing Home in 1996. Members of the family include a son Robert Balser and his wife Pauline of Rochester, NH; 2 daughters Terry Davenport and her husband William of Shelburne, NH and Marion Mattingly of Louisville, KY; 3 grandchildren William Davenport Jr., Stacey Garland and her husband David and Gregg Balser and his wife Christin; 3 great grandchildren Dale Davenport, Sophia Garland and Matthew Balser; a sister Dorothy Bargar of Uhrichsville, OH; a brother Stanley West of Londonderry, NH; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Herbie. SERVICES: Private graveside services will be held in the spring in the Hillcrest cemetery in Milan. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin.
