Mrs. Eugenia (Jeannie) Conway, 93, of 121 Roderick Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Wednesday morning March 19, 2008 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on January 8, 1915 the daughter of Constantine and Anna (Antonovich) Snigger and lived most of her life in Berlin. Eugenia was a graduate of Berlin High School with the class of 1932 and a graduate of Bryant and Stratton College in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to her retirement Eugenia was employed by James River Corporation as Administrative Assistant in Human Resources, retiring in 1985. In her retirement, she pursued the art of stained glass construction and learned to play the organ. She traveled with friends and enjoyed vacations with her family. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, which was founded in the year of her birth. Her father served as one of the first Elders of the church. Members of the family include her daughter Laurie Conway Brooks of Falls Church, VA; two grandchildren Jessica Brooks of Brooklyn, NY and Gregory Brooks, of Ithaca, NY; brothers in law and sisters in law including Medora Snigger; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence G. Conway in 1955, by a sister Sophie and by two brothers Alexander and Constantine. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Petrograd St., Berlin, NH on Saturday March 22, 2008 at 11 AM. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Petrograd Street, Berlin, NH 03570.
