Eugene A. Vien

Eugene A. Vien, 78, of Gorham, NH passed away on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on May 12, 1934 the son of the late Peter A. and Alice (Cote) Vien and came to the area at 6 months of age and has been a resident since. Eugene had been employed for over 30 years as a welder with I. E. O. U. #98 and worked all over the East Coast. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the Gorham-Sabatis Lodge #73 F & AM and the Knights of Columbus. Members of the family include his wife Lorraine (Gagnon) Vien of Gorham; children Carol Daley and husband Richard of Berlin, Mike Pelchat and wife Diane Holmes of Gorham, Peggy Vien of Gorham and Peter Vien and wife Cheryl of North Conway; 5 grandchildren David, Myia, Dustin, Cameron and Jeffrey and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Nicholson. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM.
