Erma M. (Fraser) Downs

Mrs. Erma M. (Fraser) Downs, 76, of Concord, New Hampshire and formerly of Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday May 17, 2008 at the CRVNA Hospice House in Concord, NH. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on May 2, 1932 the daughter of Roy and Dorothy M. (Shepherd) Fraser and lived in Berlin for most of her life, prior to moving to Concord 20 years ago. She had been employed by the Olive Garden Restaurant in Concord, NH. Members of the family include a daughter Susan Fontaine and her husband Robert of Candia; two sons Jeffrey Downs and Greggory Downs, both of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; her father Roy Fraser of Bowdoin, ME; two sisters Barbara Bryant of Lisbon Falls, ME and Beryl Karkos of Lisbon, ME; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Bobby Downs and by a son Stephen Downs, her foster parents Clair and Priscilla Oakes and by an infant daughter Linda. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 21, 2008 at 11 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow in the New City Cemetery.
