Emilien "Charlie" J. Poulin of Berlin passed away surrounded by family on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was 92 years old.

Born in St. Ephrem Canada on November 18, 1925 he was the son of Adelard and Rose-Anna (Drouin) Poulin. He was raised in St. Evariste, La-Guadeloupe with his seventeen siblings. At the age of 16 he left to go to work at Abitibi, QC with his brother Paul to work in the woods. The wood industry brought him to the United States where he met the love of his life Claire (McGee) who he spent 47 years with until her passing in 2000.

He had a camp on Jim Town Road; he enjoyed spending time there with family and friends and often hosted many gatherings. He and Claire were communicants of Guardian Angel Parish and he was a volunteer with the St Nom De Jesus and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Eagles Club. He was a legend at the Notre Dame Arena, known as "Charlie" the Zamboni Driver. He was the backbone and the face of the Arena for many years; he will be much remembered for tipping his hat and teasing the children. He had a great sense of humor and he could always be found lending a hand to neighbors, family and friends.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Claire and many of his siblings.

He leaves behind two sisters; Yvette (Poulin) Bureau and Anita (Poulin) Bolduc; one brother Paul Poulin, all of the providence of Quebec; in-laws Julienne Cote, Arthur and Margo McGee, and Marie McGee; many nieces and nephews.
