Dover: Emile E. Payette, 86, of Holiday Drive, passed away on Sat. Oct.13, 2012 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Emile was born on Mar. 14, 1926 in Berlin, NH; the son of Odule and Rose (Demers) Payette.

Emile served our country proudly during World War II in the US Army. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard as an Electronics Engineer.

Emile was part of the Mt. Agamenticus Ski Patrol. During his free time he enjoyed woodcutting, and was a hockey fan, just recently enjoyed watching baseball. He was a member of the Good Shepard Parish in Berlin, NH.

Emile is survived by his wife, Rita (Cooper) Payette; his sons, George Payette and his wife, Jane of Dover and David Payette and his wife, June of Dugspur, VA; his daughters, Vivian Zagrobski and her husband, Walter of Ipswich, MA and Kathy Payette and her husband, Richard Cross of Mt. Pleasant, PA; his sisters, Beatrice Poulin, Lorraine LaChapelle both of Berlin and Louise Demers of Gorham; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jules Payette, and a grandson.

Friends and family may call from 8:30-9:30am on Fri., Oct. 26, 2012 at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St., Berlin, NH.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10am on Fri., Oct. 26, 2012 at St. Anne's Church of Good Shepard Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Russian City Cemetery, Berlin NH.
