Emeline H. "Sis" Chatigny

Emeline H. Sis Chatigny, 90, of East Side River Road, Milan, NH passed away on Saturday June 9, 2012 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. She was born in Milan, NH on July 7, 1921 the daughter of Michael Cleary, Jr, and Georgia (Wheeler) Cleary and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Berlin High and had been employed as a clerk at the storehouse at Brown Company and James River, retiring in 1983 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and had visited many places, including Ireland, London, Hawaii, Jamaica, the Canadian Rockies and many U.S. States. Sis also very much enjoyed her time spent with her two grandnephews Cullen and Connor. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening and shopping. She was a member of St. Kieran Church. Members of the family include nieces Mitzi Riley Fortier of Milan, Karen Cayouette of Milan, Suzanne Beroney of Manchester and Martha Manni of Manchester; many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo P. Chatigny, in 1989 and 2 siblings Carlene Cleary Riley and Arthur Cleary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
