Elsie Brochu

Elsie Brochu, 93, passed away on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. She was born in Berlin on May 23, 1920 the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Provencher) Brochu. Elsie was a lifelong resident of Berlin. She attended St. Regis Academy and graduated from Berlin High School in 1938 and in 1947 she graduated from the Fay Secretarial School in Boston, MA. She was employed by Attorney Jean Louis Blais as a legal secretary for over 30 years. She is survived by cousins including Richard Provencher and wife Jackie of Manchester, Larry Provencher and wife Sandy of Malone, NY and Norman Robichaud of Sanford, ME and also in Massachusetts and Canada; several friends, including her special forever friend Jeannette Fortier of Berlin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Monday September 9,2013 at 10 AM in Berlin. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham. Family and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on the morning of the Mass from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
