Elizabeth Jalbert

Elizabeth (Roy) Jalbert, formerly of Jericho Road in Berlin, died peacefully on February 18, 2014 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Manchester after a period of declining health. She was 91.

She was born in St. Methode PQ Canada, on November 18, 1922, the daughter of Romuald and Hermeline (Gagnon) Roy.

Elizabeth came to Berlin in 1957 with her husband Roger "Jack" Jalbert and together they raised two sons, Yvon and Rejean.

She worked as a Nurse's Aid at St Louis Hospital, and as a stitcher at Converse Shoe Factory. She retired from Bass Shoe Company in 1986.

She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin, NH.

Her greatest love was her family, who will miss her dearly. She was a very loving, caring and devoted Mother and Grandmother. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling and cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by her grandson Fr. Jason Jalbert of Manchester, NH, her granddaughter Jessica Wohlfarth, her daughter-in-law Lucille Jalbert, and her great-granddaughters Connie Elizabeth, Tomi Jean and Kelli Yvon, all of Park City, Utah. She is also survived by her sister Yolande Longtin of St Cyrille PQ Canada and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jalbert was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her two sons and her five brothers and two sisters.

Visiting Hours will be on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9, and from 10:30 to 11:30am on Saturday, February 22, at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin, using School Street Entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Jalbert at Noon on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Anne's Church. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.
