Elda Catherine Lafrancois of Gendron Street passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was 90.

Born on June 21, 1923 in Berlin, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (DiPucchio) Nicoletti.

She married Rene J. Lafrancois on August 7, 1948 and together they raised two children. They celebrated 63 years of marriage prior to his passing on September 12, 2011.

She was employed by UNH Co-Operative Extension Service as a nutrition aide. She retired in 1986. She was also a special caregiver to many.

She was a communicant of St Kieran's Parish now St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

Her greatest love was her family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite pastime was attending the many sporting events that her grandchildren were involved in. She also enjoyed cooking many family meals. Her grandchildren always loved "Grammy's cooking".

Besides her parents & husband, she is preceded in death by her brother Roland Nicoletti and wife Barbara and sister Jane Losier and husband Lawrence.

She is survived by her son Rene "Bo" Lafrancois and wife Louise, her daughter Judy Roy and husband Frank all from Berlin, five grandchildren; Becky and Danny Lafrancois, Katie, Heather and Jennifer Roy; two brothers Rudolph and wife Antoinette and Bernard and wife Doris Nicoletti, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at St Kieran Cemetery in Berlin.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street in Berlin. (please use School St entrance)
