Edmund Savoie

Edmund J. Savoie, 93, of Lancaster, NH and formerly of Lawrence, MA, passed away on Friday October 20, 2017 at the Country Village Healthcare Center. He was born in Methuen, MA on March 28, 1924 the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Potvin) Savoie and attended St. Annes Parochial School and Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. A US Army Veteran of World War II, he served in Europe with the US Army Field Artillery. After the war, he pursued his higher education with the aid of the GI Bill, attaining several degrees and certifications. Edmund had been employed as an engineer with Westinghouse Electric in Pittsburgh, PA, retiring in 1985. Family includes his nieces Dawn Miner and husband Ernest of Milan, NH, Beverly Contarino of Haverhill, MA and Catherine Savoie and husband Allan Richard of Raymond, NH; 8 great nieces and nephews and 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
