Dorothy J. Prescott

Mrs. Dorothy J. (Johnson) Prescott, 68, of 7 Pine Rd. West Milan, NH passed away on Saturday evening Oct. 24, 2009 on her 50th wedding anniversary. She was born in Groveton, NH on Nov. 28, 1940 the daughter of Ralph R. and Madeline (Currier) Johnson and resided there until age 18, when she moved to the Crystal - Milan area. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Richs Department store in Gorham for 23 years and most recently had been employed for nine years at the Heritage House in Glen, NH. Dorothy was a member of the Grange, was well known for her cooking and generosity in helping others. She attended the West Milan United Methodist Church. Members of the family include her husband of 50 years Walter Prescott of West Milan; a brother Leonard Johnson of Littleton, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, a sister Muriel Stevenson and by two brothers Kenneth Johnson and Rodney Johnson. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon Oct. 27, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in West Milan. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
