Doris S Blanchette

Mrs. Doris S. Blanchette, 77, formerly of Winter St and currently a resident at Coos Country Nursing Home for the past year and a half passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2014.

She was born on October 14, 1936 in Berlin, NH to Victor and Angelina (Viger) Lachapelle.

Doris was a graduate of Notre Dame High School, the class of 1954.

On July 4, 1959 she married Leo Blanchette and together they raised two daughters.

She was a communicate of St Anne Church and treasured her faith in the church.

In the 1970's she and her husband Leo owned and operated Hillside Market. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Brideau Construction Company, at the service counter at the Dairy Bar and at the NH Community Technical College in the maintenance department.

Her greatest love was her family, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and going on shopping trips and collecting angels. She was the recording secretary of the TOPS Club. Doris also enjoyed her years serving on the St Anne Parish Council.

In addition to her parents, Doris was pre-deceased by her husband, Leo in 1987, her sisters Beatrice Lizie and Irene Morin, her brothers Robert and Arthur Lachapelle and her godson John Morin.

She leaves behind her two daughters; Louise Morneau and husband Renney of Berlin, NH and Denise Hawkins and husband Nathan of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren Brianne Morneau of Berlin and Nelson and Jonathan Hawkins of Nashua, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at St. Anne's Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will be at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
