Doris R Harvey

Doris R. Harvey, 89, of First Avenue, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital.

She was born in Berlin on March 29, 1926 to Albert and Sarah (Desrochers) Harvey.

Doris was a graduate of Berlin High School Class of 1944. Doris furthered her education attending nursing school in Boston.

Doris was a dedicated and well respected nurse. Her career ranged from working in the Operating Room at St Louis Hospital for many years and later she retired from St Vincent de Paul Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center as the Supervisor of the Nursing Staff. During retirement she continued her serving the community by providing hospice care to the elderly in their homes.

Doris was devoted to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings, vacationing in Maine, golfing and she traveled to Europe after graduating from nursing school.

She is predeceased by her parents and her two brothers Peter Harvey and his wife Sarita (Birt) and Albert Harvey, Jr.

Doris leaves behind eight nieces and nephews; Diane (Harvey) Termini and her husband Frank of East Lyme, CT, Pat (Harvey) Donnell and her husband Hugh of Columbus, IN, Joe Harvey and his wife Judi of Virginia Beach, VA, John Harvey of Virginia Beach, VA, Doug Harvey of Berlin, NH, Frank O'Hara of Standish, ME, Steven Harvey and his wife Kathy (Sweeney) of Berlin, NH and Cindy Baillargeon and her husband Steve of Berlin, NH; a sister-in-law Lorraine (O'Hara) Harvey of Berlin, NH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday, July 2nd at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at St. Anne Cemetery in Berlin, NH.

There will be no calling hours.
