Donald Noel Martin of Berlin passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was 87 years old.



Born on December 25, 1931 in Berlin, he was the son of Osias and Bertha (Blanchette) Martin. He spent most of his childhood in Stark and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1951. Following High School he served 3 years in the U.S. Marine Corp.



On April 14, 1955 he married Pauline Valliere and together they had six children. Donald worked alongside his father as a Woods Contractor, cutting and delivering wood for Martin Lumber Co. He and his wife were communicants of St Joseph Church now Good Shepherd Parish.



Donald enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed maintaining his property and doing property maintenance for others. He was an avid reader. He liked to dance and spend time with friends and family, especially during the holidays.



Besides his parents he is predeceased by his wife Pauline (Valliere) Martin, two sons, Joseph and Claude, a daughter Jeanne Savage; his brother Claude Martin.



He leaves behind two sons, David Martin and wife Gina of Berlin, Roland Martin of Berlin; a daughter Diane Viger and husband Richard of Concord, and daughter in law Faye Martin of Austin, TX; three sisters Doris Boisvin of Milan, Madeleine Cloutier and husband Lorenzo of Groveton, NH and Patricia Drapeau of Zephyrhills FL; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat BeBe



Calling Hours will be held at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, on Monday July 1, 2019 from 8:30am to 9:30am, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH 03570



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow at St. Anne Cemetery, Berlin, NH.
