Donald Frank OHara of Valley Road passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014

At Country Village Center in Lancaster, NH following a period of declining health. He was 65.

Born on May 9, 1948 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Richard Edward and Mae Jennie (Roffe) OHara.

Donald attended Gorham Schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1967 from Gorham High School.

Following graduation, he entered the US Army serving in Vietnam. He was assigned to the 11th Transportation Company at Fort Devens, MA. He served in the US Army for 22 consecutive years , retiring in 1989. He was the recipient of many commendations and medals including the Army Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and Army Achievent & Good Conduct Medals.

While in the Army, he met his wife Boonliend (Linda) Sitton. They were united in marriage on February 11, 1970.

Following retirement from the Army, he returned to Randolph and was employed at Labonville in the factory and as a road agent for the Town of Randolph.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a sister Joyce Caulder, a brother Charles OHara, a nephew Richard Caulder, and several aunts and uncles.

He leaves his loving wife Boonliend OHara of Randolph, a brother John OHara and his wife Arlene of Laconia, a half brother Robert Toppi of Bradford, NH, an Aunt Rena Guerin of Concord, 9 nephews, 2 nieces, and several cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the parlor of the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Rev Dean Stiles, pastor of First Baptist Church of Berlin will officiate. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring at Lary Cemetery in Gorham.
