Donald E. "Rem" Remington of Maynesboro Street in Berlin died suddenly Friday, July 6, 2012 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was 48.

Born on August 24, 1963 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Earl and Pearl (Blais) Remington.

He was a lifelong resident of Berlin and was a 1982 graduate of Berlin High School.

He was employed at Milan Lumber for several years.

Rem was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, & fishing, camping. However, his passion was playing the drums. He played drums in area venues with Bob Lord for many years. He also was an avid New England Sports Fan and enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a sister Diane Belanger, a nephew Ronald Belanger, and an Aunt Meredith Rowe.

Survivors include: a son Douglas E. Remington, a daughter Sara Remington, two brothers in friendship Robin Hood and Roland Aubut all of Berlin, NH; a sister Cecile Murdough of Navare, FL; nephews: Keith Murdough, Dale Murdough, and Mark Belanger. He will be sadly missed by all friends and family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm Friday, July 13 in the Parlor of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Burial will be at St. Kieran Cemetery, Berlin.

Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 7-9 pm Thursday, July 12 and from 12 Noon to 1pm Friday prior to the service.
