Della Ann Hanson

Della Ann (Lavernoich) Hanson, 86, of Nashua, NH and former long time resident of Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening August 28, 2013 at Langdon Place in Nashua, after a period of declining health. She was born in Berlin, NH on June 1, 1927 to the late Joseph and Julia (Romiel) Lavernoich and was among the youngest of thirteen siblings. She was a graduate of Berlin High School and a longtime member of St. Kieran Church in Berlin. Della married the love of her life, Arnold P. Hanson on June 26, 1948. This past June, she and Arnold celebrated 65 years of marriage. Della raised three children while managing the bookkeeping for Arnolds law practice. After Arnolds retirement, Della and Arnold moved from Berlin to spend the summer months in Nashua, NH and the winter months in Fort Myers, Florida. Dellas life was always an active one. She organized her high school class reunions, played and taught bridge to many people, golfed and traveled extensively worldwide. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed the piano and loved having her friends sing along while she played.Della was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed sharing her many photographs of her loved ones with those who visited her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Della is predeceased by her parents and her twelve siblings. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Arnie Hanson and his wife Barbara of Nashua, NH; two daughters, Caryl Brensinger and her husband Barry of Manchester, NH; Julie Mook and her husband Douglas of Hollis, NH; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A private service will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home in Berlin, NH. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in the Old City Cemetery, Berlin, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dellas memory to a charity of choice.
