Mr. Daniel P. Doble, 53, of Milan, NH passed away May 10, 2008 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on May 7, 1955 the son of Alan and Virginia N. (Packer) Doble and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Milan area. He had been employed as a fleet manager at North Country Transit, a division of Tri County Cap. He had previously been employed at Berlin City Ford, Currier Dealerships and Notch Above Auto in Littleton as a service manager and had also been employed at Leon Costello Co. and Schultz NH Provision. He liked cars, drag racing, playing guitar, snowmobiling and Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts. His friends will remember the unforgettable times at Oxford Plains Dragway and the Winterport Dragway. He had a keen interest in history and in the events that shaped the world. He had a quick wit and was very funny. Most politicians wished that they had as many friends as Dan. He really cared about his family. Members of the family include his wife Sharon (Marquis) Doble of Milan, NH; children Gino Castonguay and wife Megan of Montpelier, VT, Tania Castonguay and companion Jamie Mosher of Whitefield, NH, Kimberly Dube and husband Robert of Berlin, NH; 2 granddaughters Alyssa Warner of Inverness, FL and Maia Castonguay of Montpelier, VT; 2 step-children Sabrina Harwell of Salt Lake City, UT and Christina Wallace and husband Colby of Huntsville, TX; his mother Virginia N. (Packer) Doble of Gorham, NH; 2 sisters Alana Donahoe and husband Bob of East Sandwich, MA and Sharon Kolinsky and husband Greg of Berlin, NH; first mother-in-law Jean Mailloux and her companion Frank Kenney of Milan, NH; brother-in-law Lawrence Mailloux and wife Karen of Berlin, NH; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his first wife Susan (Mailloux) Doble and his father Alan Doble. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Monday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to the American Cancer Society or the Conway Humane Society.
