Connie L Piper

October 2, 1924 — June 15, 2015

Colombe "Connie" L. Piper, 90, of Hillside Avenue passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital following a brief illness.

A lifelong resident of Berlin, she was the daughter of Aime and Joanita "Blanche" (Bedard) Leclerc.

Connie attended Berlin Schools. On February 17, 1947, she married Robert D. Piper. They enjoyed 41 years of marriage until his unexpected passing on January 4, 1989. Together, they owned and operated Rudy's Market on Western Avenue for 13 years.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church now St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

Connie had a great sense of humor and plenty of stories to tell. The company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy along with lengthy telephone conversations with loved ones. Christmas and Easter gatherings were special favorites as the 3 dozen family members gathered to enjoy the festivities. She was a keen business person, but also very generous to those in need of a helping hand. Quiet and demure she purposefully lived her life for nine decades.

Besides her parents and husband, she is pre-deceased by a daughter Christine Piper-Marini, granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Parent, a sister Stella St. Croix-Amero, and brothers Rene, Roger, and Romeo.

She leaves two sons Donald Piper and wife Patricia and Michael Piper and wife Helene all of Berlin, two daughters Dolores Murphy and husband Raymond of Manchester and Joan Parent and husband Louis of Berlin.

Grandchildren: Corey Piper and wife Kim, Eric Piper, Ryan Murphy and wife Erica, Courtney Theriault and husband Kerry, Ian Evans, Selena Aube and husband Kurt, Monica Poulin and husband Jon, Lauren and Laurita Parent; great-grandchildren Devan, Jake, and Sterling Piper, Brandon and Kaleigh Murphy, Emily and Allison Theriault, Bronson and Piper Aube and Isaac and Mya Poulin. Four sisters Doris Christensen of Portland Oregon, Florence Croteau of Herman, ME, Yvette Drapeau of Manchester, NH, and Jacqueline Elias of Houston, TX.

Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A service will be held at 10am Monday, June 29th in the parlor of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Rev. Kyle Stanton will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Kieran's Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours will be held from 8:30am to 10:00am prior to the service.
