Clarence J Cusson

Berlin, NH Clarence J. Cusson longtime resident of Forbush Avenue, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 at St Vincent de Paul Nursing Home where he had been a resident for only a couple of weeks. He was 91.

Born on December 7, 1922 in Berlin, New Hampshire, he was the son of Joseph and Zoie (Thibeault) Cusson.

Clarence grew up in Berlin, attended Angel Guardian School and Berlin High School. He then enlisted in the Navy and served his term during World War II in the South Pacific. After serving his country, he worked at Brown Company as a machine operator where he was employed for over 30 years.

On November 25, 1950 he married Bernie Turgeon and together they raised two children.

He was a communicant of Angel Guardian Church and now St. Anne Church of Good Shepard Parish.

He enjoyed golfing and traveling but the true joy in his life was spending time with his family. He loved getting everyone together and he was so full of life, making everyone laugh. He truly loved a great banter with his loved ones.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, The American Legion and the VFW.

He leaves his son Joe Cusson and wife Denise of Leesburg, FL; his daughter Elaine O Cusson-Scire and husband Sam of Las Vegas NV. Four grandchildren; Carol Cusson- Beebe and husband Jamie of Wilbraham MA, Shelly Cottuli and husband Mike of Southwick, MA, Christine Cusson-Stansbury and husband Dal of Tolland, CT and Jenny LeHouiller of Las Vegas, NV; Four great-grandchildren Cameron Stansbury, Emily Burke, Sydney Beebe, & Seth Beebe; several nieces & nephews.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, two brothers, Joe Cusson and Tony Cusson and five sisters Yvette Arsenault, Germaine (Cusson), Rosa Gosselin, Doris Hickey and Fleurette Pike.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Monday, January 13, 2014 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. (use School St entrance).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2 Wall St, Manchester, NH 03101 or to The American Lung Association, 1800 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
