Claire B St. Onge

Claire B. St. Onge, formerly of Birch Grove Gorham passed away Thursday evening June 13, 2013 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was 86.

Born on August 29, 1926 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of William and Marie Louise (Jobin) Ste. Croix.

Claire attended Berlin Schools. She was employed at Granite State Rubber company as a banjo installer for many years.

A longtime resident of Berlin, she moved to Gorham in 1975.

She was a communicant of St. Anne Church in Berlin and in later years Holy Family Church in Gorham.

Her pastimes including bingo and knitting. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Claire was a member of Gorham Senior Citizens and did volunteer work for seniors. For the past 4 years, she resided at Coos County Nursing Home where she enjoyed the company of the other residents and the activities that they offer.

Besides her husband Gerard L. St. Onge, she is pre-deceased by two sons Leo G. St. Onge (1993) and David St. Onge (2008), a brother Wilfred Ste. Croix (2009) Rene Ste Croix, and George Ste. Croix; and three sisters: Carmella St. Croix, Annette Hamel, and Rita Dugas.

She leaves a son Marc St. Onge and his wife Sheryl of Randleman, NC, a daughter Arline Gauthier of Gorham, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Monday, June 17 at Holy Family Church in Gorham, NH. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 7:00-9:00pm Sunday, June 16 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 33 Exchange St, Gorham.
