Christine Pulsifer

Christine Pulsifer, a resident of Coos County Nursing Home since 2007, passed away suddenly Wednesday Morning October 30, 2013 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin following a stroke. She was 93.

Born on December 24, 1919 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of Frank and Madaleen (Higgins) Bailey. Christine grew up in Maine and was a graduate of Erskine Academy in 1940, at which she sang the vocal solo.

On June 22, 1946, she married Mahlon Edgar Pulsifer. Together, they raised six children. The family moved to Stark, NH in 1967 and later to Tombstone, AZ in 1975. In 1993, they moved to Livermore Falls, Maine.

In addition to being a homemaker, Christine was employed as a stitcher at various shoe manufacturing companies including Granite State Rubber Company and Converse Shoe Company.

She will be remembered as a sweet, caring woman who truly shined the light of Jesus and brought life and happiness to any situation or gathering... and always saw life with the glass half full. She was loved by all who she met throughout her life and will leave a void in many peoples hearts. Her past times included crafts such as plastic canvas, crochet, puzzles, and baking, especially chocolate chip cookies and apple pies.

Her husband Mahlon passed away in 2008.

She is survived by her sons: Edward A. and his wife Julie of Douglas, AZ; Bruce M. and his wife Doris of Phoenix, AZ; David W. and his wife Cynthia of Sierra Vista, AZ; her daughters, Madaleen L. Kloeber and her husband Bill of Phoenix, AZ; Patricia LaPlante of Randolph, NH; and Kathleen L. Peabody and her fiancAC.e Rick of Wayne, ME; a sister, Barbara Nelson of Farmington, ME; 12 Grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Tuesday, November 5 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 575 First Avenue, Berlin, NH, with the Rev. Greg Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, Gorham, NH. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Fleury-Patry Funeral Homes of Berlin & Gorham, NH.
