Christine Brantley

Christine Brantley (nee Maines) born January 10, 1927 in Berlin, New Hampshire, died March 10, 2008 at the Mayo Nursing Home in Northfield, VT of Parkinsons Disease. She was 81. Christine was the youngest child of the late Augusta and Leroy Maines and sister to Catherine Brungot of Berlin, Walter Maines of Rye, NH and Charlotte Wolfe of Fresno, CA. She lived for many years in Virginia Beach, Virginia with her husband, John Montminy also of Berlin and her second husband Maryland Brantley of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, both of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Justine OKeefe of East Montpelier, Vermont, her sister Catherine Brungot and her niece Kathy Block of Berlin and several nieces and nephews. Christine worked for Converse Rubber Company for many years before moving to Virginia where she worked as a deli manager before her retirement. A memorial service will take place at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2008.
