Chester W. Chapman

Chester W. Chapman, 60, of Gorham, passed away on Saturday March 26, 2016 at his home. He was born in Berlin on June 28, 1955 the son of the late Ralph L. and Pearl M. (Savard) Chapman and was raised in Gorham. He spent 4 years in the US Air Force and upon discharge, moved to Boston, MA where he attended college and worked for many years in the insurance business and as an IRS agent. Chester returned to Gorham upon his retirement. Family includes his brothers Charles Chapman and wife Deborah of Gorham, NH, Michael Chapman and wife Nona of Berwyn, IL and Kevin Chapman and wife Krystal of Berlin, NH; a sister Sheila Welch of Gorham, NH; an uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother Ralph Chapman, Jr. A Memorial Service will be held at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 10 AM. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
