Catherine (Kitty) Pederson

Catherine (Kitty) Rozek Pederson, 95, formerly of Berlin, NH passed away on Monday morning November 2, 2015 at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Westmoreland, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on January 9, 1920 the daughter of Abraham and Takla (Razook) Rozek and had resided in Berlin until 2011 when she moved to Bentley Commons in Keene, NH. Prior to her retirement, she was the Comptroller of the Berlin Water Works. She was a long time member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She also tutored, volunteered at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and served at the Food Pantry. Despite working multiple jobs all at once, the center of her life was her family. Members of the family include her daughters Corrine Lajoie and her husband Ronald of Hopkinton, NH and Christine LaClair and her husband Lance of Marlborough, NH; 5 grandchildren Matthew, Marc, and Benjamin Lajoie and Darcy Lynx and Caitlin LaClair; a great grandchild Claire Lynx; a sister Elizabeth Hodges of Kansas; 2 cousins, 13 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul N. Pederson in 2005. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon November 7, 2015 at 1:30 PM in the chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow in the New City Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in her memory.
