Carolyn Moley Lyman, 78, of Lunenburg, VT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8th, 2022. She was born in New Britain, CT on December 13, 1943, the daughter of George and Mary (Matulis) Moley. Carolyn was raised and educated in New Britain and had lived in Connecticut until 2017, when she moved to Lunenburg, VT. Prior to her retirement, Carolyn had been employed as an art teacher with the Hartford Public School System, after a career spanning over thirty years. She was an avid sportsman, and enjoyed fishing, shooting, gardening, and the outdoors. Carolyn was a great proponent and supporter of Lyman Orchards over the years (the family farm).
Carolyn is survived by her son Charles E. Lyman V of Southbury, CT and his daughter Madison Lyman; her son William Lyman of Lunenberg, VT; and her son Matthew and wife Sarah Lyman of West Hartford, CT along with their children: Norah, Molly, Adelyn, Greyson, and Kennedy; and Carolyn’s ex-husband Charles E. Lyman IV of Middletown, CT. Carolyn was predeceased by her late brother, Ronald Moley of Terryville, CT.
Services will be held in Connecticut at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may make donations in Carolyn's memory to the Vermont Traditions Coalition, PO Box 323 Williamstown, VT.
