Carlyle D. Wentworth, 80, of Lancaster Road, Gorham, NH died on Sunday September 16, 2012 at his home. He was born in Dummer, NH on July 27, 1932 the son of Charlie N. and Mildred (Magill) Wentworth and was a lifelong resident of the North Country. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, had been employed as a well driller for Raymond Holt Well Drilling and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Carlyle was a devoted man to his family, especially the love of his life, Madeline. He had an unending smile when surrounded by his family and took great pleasure in his 30 grand and great grandchildren. A man with a heart of gold that gave so much of himself to his family, friends and church. He exemplified his beliefs through his words and actions. He taught many, loved deeply, and shared his gentleness with all he came in contact with. Camping, cooking, any excuse to go for a ride, gardening and playing solitaire and scrabble were things he enjoyed doing. Carlyle is loved so much by his wife and family. He will greatly be missed by many. We love you. Family members include his wife Madeline R. (Corrigan) Wentworth of Gorham; sons Tim Wentworth and wife Carol of Berlin and Troy Wentworth of Gorham; daughters Ann Rollins and husband Walter of Penacook, Kimberly Gagnon and husband Joe of Barrington, Donna Wentworth of Gorham, Sharon Glover and husband Les of Gorham, Ambra Rodgers and husband Joe of Gorham and Sarah Clark and husband Shane of St. Johnsbury, VT; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers Paul and Mark Wentworth. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 12 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Randolph, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday morning from 10-12, prior to the service. Interment will be in the Willis Cemetery in Dummer, NH. Donations in his memory may be made to AVH Home Health and Hospice, 59 Page Hill Road, Berlin, NH, 03570. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
