Betty A. Therrien

Mrs. Betty A. Therrien, 76, of 11 Cascade Flats, Gorham, NH passed away on Saturday May 16, 2009 at her home. She was born in Gorham, NH on April 3, 1933 the daughter of Michael H. and Ella M. (Randall) Gately and graduated from Gorham High School in 1951. She graduated from St. Louis Hospital School of Nursing and lived for 40 years in Connecticut, returning to the North Country in 1991. She had been employed by the Rockville General Hospital as an RN. She enjoyed golfing and won the Senior Womens Championship at the Androscoggin Valley Country Club. She had worked at Camp Huckins in West Ossipee, NH as the camp nurse for 6 years and then as counselor in training director for 2 years. She enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling. Members of the family include her husband Donald L. Therrien of Gorham, NH: 2 sons Bradley Therrien of Coventry, CT and Toby Therrien of Coventry, CT; a daughter-in-law Tracey Therrien of Reading, PA; 2 grandchildren Dylan and Erik; a sister-in-law Doris Therrien of Gorham, NH; several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or services. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham, NH. Donations in her memory may be made to the ALS Association, Development Dept., 27001 Agoura Rd, Suite 250, Calabasas Hills, CA, 91301 to benefit Lou Gehrigs Disease. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
