Bernice E Rounds

Bernice E. Rounds of Birch Drive passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center following a brief illness. She was 84.

Born on November 1, 1930 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of Ward B. and Addie (Howland) Rounds.

Bernice grew up in West Milan and was a graduate of Berlin High School, where she was the recipient of the Bausch and Laumb Science Award. She then attended the University of New Hampshire where she earned a B.S. in Biology, graduating Cum Laude.

Over the years, she was employed as a stitcher and seamstress at several area companies including Converse, Bass, and Gam.

Bernice attended West Milan Methodist Church.

Besides being devoted to her family, Bernice enjoyed walking and gardening. African Violets were her favorite flower. Her favorite topic was remembering and recording family history and genealogy, taking the many documents from the family farm and putting together connections and contributing to local town histories. Besides her parents, a brother Burton Ward Rounds and his wife Ruth all pre-deceased her.

She leaves her loving son Stuart N. Rounds and his wife Patti of Frederick, MD Her granddaughter Jennifer Lupinacci and husband Sasha and great-grandson Giovanni Lupinacci, all of Frederick, MD. A sister Louise Anita Booth of Montreal, Canada.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am, Friday, July 3rd at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Reverend Stephen MacLeod of Milan United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the Fogg family Cemetery in West Milan (off Chandler Ledges Road).

A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 9 am to 10 am at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the care of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home.
