Bernard M. Conway

Bernard M. Conway, 90, of Berlin, NH passed away on February 10, 2015 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. He was born in Berlin on March 11, 1924 the son of Henry and Celia (Marshall) Conway and was a lifelong resident. He attended Berlin schools and served with the US Army 10th Mountain Division during World War II and received the Bronze Star. Bernie had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corp. in the Digester House, retiring in 1986. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Body Line Health and Fitness Club and was a former member of the Nansen Ski Club. Family includes his wife Rosalie (Allen) Conway of Berlin, NH; daughter Darlene Pigeon and husband Claude of Berlin, NH; grandchildren Beth Willey of Berlin, NH, Kyle Fitzmorris of Shelburne, NH, Ian Fitzmorris of North Conway, NH, Kate Fitzmorris-Lunnie of Concord, VT and Jennifer Seavey of Tamworth, NH; 3 great-grandchildren; brother John Conway of Boise, ID; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Michael Seavey and a grandson Jacob Seavey, brothers William Conway, Harry Conway, Raymond Conway, Lawrence Conway and Frank Conway and a sister Estrella Conway. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday February 16, 2015 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin with the Reverend Dean Stiles officiating. Interment will be in the Willis Cemetery, Hill Rd, Dummer, in the spring. There will be no calling hours.
