Barbara Jean (O'Neil) Labrecque

Barbara J. (ONeil) LaBrecque of Mt. Forist Street passed away Saturday Morning, March 5, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin, NH where she had resided for the past two years. She was 70.

Born on September 6, 1945 in Rutland, VT, she was the daughter of Gerald and Frances (Story) ONeil and Lawrence and Florence Russell.

Barbara grew up in Gorham and was a 1963 graduate of Gorham High School.

On June 30, 1975, she married Daniel P. LaBrecque of Berlin and together they raised two children and was blessed to be reunited with her daughter Lisa Ann Faith in 1999.

Barbara was an advocate for peace, a thoughtful writer, a dedicated mother to and educator of her children. She also worked as a reporter for the Lewistown Daily Newspaper in Lewistown, PA.

Barbara was a communicant of Holy Family Church in Gorham.

She leaves her husband Daniel P. LaBrecque of Berlin, NH; a son Danny Joe LaBrecque and wife Stefani of Baltimore, MD; two daughters Alissa Boulton and husband David of Livonia, MI and Lisa Becker and husband Kyle of South Burlington, VT; a step-son Anthony Vanni and wife Kim of Thousand Oaks, CA; grandchildren Brodie and Flynn LaBrecque, Zachary and Jacob Boulton, Jessica & Staci Campbell, Quentin Becker, Sidney and Taylor Vanni; great-grandchildren Ayanah, Aden, Maia, and Samuel; four brothers Gerald ONeil of Gorham, NH, Greg ONeil and wife Kelly of Gorham, NH, and Jamie ONeil and wife Candy of Milan, NH, Paul Russell of Saratoga Spring, NY; three sisters Carol McMillen and husband Daniel of Manchester, NH and Peggy Blais and husband Raymond of Berlin, Mary Russell of Scotia, NY as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am Wednesday, March 9th, at Holy Family Parish in Gorham. Burial will be at New Hampshire Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.

Calling hours will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm Tuesday evening, March 8th at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
