Barbara A. Chabot

Barbara A. Chabot, 74, of Riverside Drive, Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday October 18, 2012 at her home. She was born in Berlin on November 16, 1937 the daughter of Joseph R. and Nellie P. (Gleason) Bernard and left Berlin at age 20. She lived in several places before moving back to Berlin in 1996. Barbara had been employed by A. V. Home Care Services, NH Savings Bank, New Dartmouth Bank, Shawmut Bank and Dunkin Donuts in Manchester. She was a former member of St. Kieran Church and enjoyed bowling. She was a very devoted mother, who enjoyed her home and her family. Members of the family include her husband Rene Chabot of Berlin; 3 children Stephen Allar and wife Nayoka of Wolfeboro, NH, David J. Allar and wife Robin of Tilton, NH and Letty P. Gendron of Claremont, FL; 6 grandchildren Dan Allar, Andy Allar, Heather Allar, Nicholas Allar, Kevin Gendron and Jennifer Gendron; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister Joanne Hanson of FL; brothers Robert Bernard of FL, Philip Bernard of Houston, TX and Richard Bernard of Manchester, NH; nieces, nephews and in-laws. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday Oct. 24, 2012 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 to 11 AM, prior to the service. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to either A.V.H. Home Health & Hospice Services or to the American Cancer Society.
