Barbara A. Bedard

Mrs. Barbara A. (Leonard) Bedard, 77, of 90 Cedar Street in Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday June 16, 2007 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was born in Cambridge, MA on April 24, 1930 the daughter of Michael E. and Frances (LeBlanc) Leonard. Mrs. Bedard was a graduate of St. Marys School in Cambridge, MA and moved to Berlin after her marriage to Philip Bedard. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a secretary for the St. Kieran Church for 26 years. She was a member of St. Kieran Church now known as Good Shepherd Parish, was a member of the FOE Auxiliary #893 in Malden, MA, a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a past VFW District President, a past VFW State Soloist, and a past VFW Auxiliary President. Barbara loved her family, her pets and everyone around her. She loved to sing and officiated at many weddings and funerals. She was also a great cook and loved to bake cakes and her wedding cakes were in great demand. Members of her family include her husband Philip R. Bedard of Berlin, NH; five children Jacqueline Bergeron and her husband Walter of Canaan, NH, Philip E. Bedard of Berlin, NH, Diane Vigue and her husband Joseph of Berlin, NH, Warren Bedard of Berlin, NH and Ellen Labrecque and her husband Paul of Berlin, NH; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters Gerry Muise and Ruthe Bergin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Edward Leonard, Walter Leonard and Donald Leonard; and by a daughter in law Lorraine Bedard. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated on Saturday June 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish on Pleasant Street in Berlin, NH. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home 180 Hillside Avenue in Berlin, NH on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
