Arthur Fortier, 86, formally of Berlin passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 in Lakeland FL.

Born on August 30, 1928, in Cascade, he was the son of Thomas and Florence (Guerin) Fortier.

Arthur served in WW II, with the U.S. Army. He also served many years in the National Guard.

On January 10, 1949 he married Rolande Belanger and together they raised six children.

Arthur was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was a communicant of Guardian Angel Parish and now St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.

He loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Paul and his brother Thomas Fortier.

He leaves behind his wife of 66 years Rolande (Belanger); three sons Arthur Fortier and wife Holly of New Boston, NH, Peter Fortier of Berlin, NH, Richard Fortier of Nashua, NH; two daughters Mary Jane Chevarie and husband Conrad of Lakeland, FL and Doris Lapointe of Berlin, NH.; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother Bobby Fortier of N. Carolina and a sister Mary Ann Baillargeon of Berlin, NH. Several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held in the spring of 2016.

Arrangements are under the care of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home.
