Arthur A Adam

November 19, 1928 — January 10, 2014

Berlin, NH Arthur A. Adam of School Street passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Androscoggin Valley Hospital after a short illness. He was 85.

Born on November 19, 1928 he was the son of Felix and Eva (St. Amant) Adam. He was raised in Berlin and attended Angel Guardian School and graduated from Notre Dame High School.

On June 18, 1960 he married Louise Lettre and together they raised three children.

He was employed at the Brown Company in the Instrumentation Department, retiring in 1990 after 35 years of service under the James River Corporation.

He was a communicant of St Anne Church. An avid woodworker, he was known for making nice furniture such as a roll top desk, toys and rocking horses.

Besides his parents, he is pre-deceased by a brother Romeo Adam and two sisters Heloise Morin and Yvette Thomas.

He leaves his wife of 53 years Louise L. Adam of Berlin A son Andrew Adam of Tamworth, NH, two daughters Ann Marie Cassel of Pittsfield, NH and Lisa Adam of Palm, PA; seven grandchildren: Amber Yorgi, Kyle Bilodeau, Eric Goupil, Danielle Bilodeau, Joshua Adam, Alyssa Adam, and Brittany Cassel; 5 great-grandchildren, and a brother Armand Adam of Berlin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd in Berlin. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Berlin. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are by Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St, Berlin, NH.
