Arlene S. Plante

GORHAM, NH Arlene S. Plante, 93, of Exchange Street, passed away Thursday evening, June 21, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home. Mrs. Plante was born in Berlin on June 13, 1919 a daughter of Robert and Ada (Meagher) Eisnor. Arlene was raised in Gorham and was a 1937 graduate of Gorham High School. She and her husband Edward worked at Pauls Laundry in Berlin. They later moved to Laconia and lived there for many years where she worked as a ward clerk at Lakes Region General Hospital and for a time she resided in Florida. She was a member of the Gorham United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Helen Lamontagne of Gorham and Marion Eisnor of North Haven, CT, two nephews Jack Holmes and his wife Joanne and Carroll Holmes, one niece Mary Ellen Newton and her husband Roy, many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Edward J. Plante on November 18, 1993, a sister Mildred Wentzell, two brothers Robert Eisnor and James Eisnor. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 29, at 11 AM in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Vincent de Paul Nursing Home, 29 Providence Street, Berlin, NH 03570, to be used at their discretion.
